Enter my roommate, senior year -- Body. We decided that we were going to make a point of trying a lot of different types of beer. The goals were to appreciate the differences between the different types of beer, become familiar with the landscape of beer across the country, and for decoration (we displayed the bottles on the wall). Though the bottles split after graduation, we've kept our promise.
It really has been fun. Over the last couple of years, I've literally tried hundreds of beer. More importantly, I have had the opportunity to share good beer with good people. This, for better or worse, has led to a nasty little side effect, which is actually the inspiration for the title of this blog. It was best summed up by my brother recently-- "Last night, I really had a hard time drinking the Bug Light." Not being a heavy drinker, he had not had a (_____) Light in a while. In the mean time, he had been sampling from my fridge. He has been ruined by good beer.
I guess I should apologize to my brother and girl friend and others (but not to my current roommate who will forever pledge by his Bud Light and Mike's Hard) who have been ruined by good beer. This blog is dedicated to you.
With this blog, I'm going to review different beers and share my opinions. My only expertise is that I have 400+ different beers under my belt (fortunately not hanging over it yet). Feel free to disagree or share similar experiences. I always love recommendations!
Remember, friends don't let friends drink shitty beer.
